TRUE LOVE + TROUBLE
Character Design · Illustration · Collection
A bold collection of illustrated pinups, pugs, and tattoo-inspired motifs rooted in classic American traditional flash. Playful characters, iconic imagery, and a modern graphic edge bring the collection together in one cohesive illustrated world.
The Collection
True Love + Trouble draws from classic tattoo imagery and vintage pinup illustration, combining bold characters, pug portraits, roses, banners, and familiar flash-inspired motifs with a playful Smug Pug Ink point of view.

The collection brings together character-driven illustrations and smaller tattoo-inspired compositions, unified by bold outlines, saturated color, decorative florals, and recurring pug imagery.
PINUPS + PUGS
Character-driven illustrations pair vintage pinup influence with tattoo-inspired details and, naturally, plenty of pugs.

WHATEVER FOREVER
Mini Art Print · July 2026
The Whatever Forever mini art print turns one of the collection’s tattoo-inspired pug portraits into a bold standalone piece. Roses, a classic banner, and a bright turquoise ground bring the traditional flash influence into a playful contemporary print.
FROM ARTWORK TO PRODUCT
Created for the Smug Pug Sticker Club, True Love + Trouble was designed to move naturally from illustration into stickers, temporary tattoos, print, and other tangible applications.
